Untitled Pinot 3 The Red Edition
The Red Edition, same varieties as The Pink Edition but of course with more Pinot Noir in it but the Pinot Gris and the Pinot Blanc offers beautiful perfume, lovely aromas and gives it an extra lift of freshness and vitality. A lovely Pinot Noir which is light, soft and almost in the style of a Beaujolais for comparisons sake which you can put in the fridge for 20 mins or so and is absolutely stunning! Crisp and refreshing with lovely cherry flavours, excellent on its own or with food. Delicious!
Untitled Pinot 3 The Pink Edition
Unusual, different, new but bloody delicious! A blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc fermented separate and blended to produce a Rosé Provence style. Lovely acidity, fresh, clean and flinty with an immediate attack of wild strawberries, pink berries and subtle aromas of dry spice. Picture yourself in Waiheke having it with a beautiful piece of fish! It’s great, well priced and pink-a-licious!
Pleasant Valley Pinot Gris 2018
Stunning soft and aromatic Pinot Gris, beautifully perfumed with essence of ripe pear, Turkish delight and a touch of honey suckle. Even though it is very well priced, you could serve it alongside a $25+ Pinot Gris and it will compare very favourably.
Tongue in Groove Little Stomper 2018
This wine has intense aromas of Gewurztraminer (Gew); rose water, Turkish delight and hints of orange blossom from the Muscat. These aromas and flavours are supported by interesting peppery, earthy and chalky nuances due to the stems in the fermentation. The palate is rich and full with mouth coating tannins (extracted from both the stems and skins) giving a salivating texture balancing the gorgeous forward fruit typical of Gew and Muscat. This wine is incredibly drinkable and an excellent food match as the tannins will cut the richness of most dishes and give lasting pleasure in the glass.
Dry River Pinot Gris 2018
“Here it shows the heavier aromatics to symbolise its deep foundation through vanilla, toffee, dulce de leche and ripe pears. Fresh characters like melon, fennel and honey suckle bring lightness and are likely to reflect fruit from our younger pinot gris block. This wine spent a long time maturing on lees, partly in oak barrels, to bring aromatic complexity in the form orange cake and nougat.
An overwhelming sensation of grace and serenity hit us when tasting this wine for the first time after blending. Comforting and luscious, the gentle nature is like a welcome home wine, if you don’t mind the sweetness of the residual sugar. Its translucent and timid character make it rich and buoyant without the bling factor. The creamy fluffy textural element is that of a groomed gruffness, presumably from the time on lees in barrel, with hints of liquorice root and rock melon.
Our Pinot Gris gives drinking pleasure as a young wine, but is rewarding with time in your cellar – preferably five to seven years.”

It is refreshing to find a vineyard that really understands what Pinot Gris should be like, this is dry, crisp and flinty not sugary, over alcoholic and flabby, wild fermentation and extended time on its lees have added to the complexity and structure of the wine. This Pinot Gris is an elegantly textured wine displaying orange blossom, pear and lime aromatics complemented by sweet pears and white pepper on the palate with a lasting and appealing mineral finish.
