Cellar 5 years plus.... more »
  • Domaine Joseph Voillot Beaune 1er Cru “Aux Coucherias” 2016 NZD $126.95 NZD $119.95

  • Domaine William Fevre Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru 2016 NZD $184.95 NZD $179.95
“The 2016 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru has opened wonderfully since I tasted it in bottle: citrus lemon, Vervane tea, dill, ginger and yellow plum aromas bursting from the glass, an underlying spiciness developing in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a spicy opening, lemongrass and touches of ginger, very open and generous with dried honey, curry leaf and a touch of ginger towards the feisty finish. Excellent.” -- 93 pts Vinous (Neal Martin)... more »

  • Domaine William Fevre Petit Chablis 2016 NZD $39.95 NZD $37.95
“There is good Chablis typicity to the ripe pear and apple scents and it continues on the rich and vibrant flavors that possess an inner mouth perfume that is also based on apple, all wrapped in a lightly mineral-inflected finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is a quality effort in the context of the genre.” -- 87-89 Burghound... more »
  • Domaine de L’Arlot Nuits Saint Georges “La Gerbotte” 2007 NZD $81.95 NZD $76.95 Out of Stock
Nuits Saint Georges has for many years enjoyed a world wide reputation for their red wines however this is white made from 100% Chardonnay from relatively young vines around the 15 year mark which says it all about this particular Domaine which transfer their philosophy about making sensual feminine red wines into their white wines. 2007 is a classical vintage for whites and once you try this it really says it all. Excellent handling of oak, aristocratic, sensual and refined with beautiful texture, pure silk, you see mineral notes coming through and the oak just needs a little more integration. Keep it for 3-5 years and it will become a classic.... more »

This is one of the best vineyards from Domaine de L’Arlot, you couldn’t get a much better Nuits St Georges than this. This is a wine with poise, concentration, depth, really clean and focused, in essence, outstanding. 2009 will become another classic pretty much across Burgundy. Needless to say, very young at the moment however, perfumed, balanced, aristocratic, great finesse, great texture; to summarize, a must buy for any Burgundy Pinot Noir lover. Cellar for up to 20 years.... more »
  • Dupont Tisserandot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers 2009 NZD $139.95 NZD $134.95
"This is consistently one of the very best wines in the Dupont line-up and it often challenges the grands crus. The '09 version is a stunner and Chevillon professes that it is the best example of the vineyard that he has ever made. An ultra fresh and distinctly earthy nose offers up a cool nose of red pinot fruit that introduces rich, intense and mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors that possess buckets of dry extract that buffer well the otherwise very firm tannic spine on the impressively long and mouth coating finish. This is definitely worth considering."91- 94pts, Allen Meadows, Burghound... more »
  • Joseph Voillot Pommard "Les Combes" 2005 NZD $84.95 NZD $79.95 Out of Stock
One of the greatest vintages in Burgundy, Pommard always takes a few years to evolve and mature depending on the producer, however with a little age it offers minerality, finesse, substance and elegance. Very focused and precise with a touch of truffle and forrest floor, drinking very well now but will also develop for the next 5-6 years.... more »

  • Simon Bize Aloxe Corton "Le Suchot" Rouge 2016 NZD $98.95 NZD $89.95

Medium to full body with beautiful texture with softly extracted tannins, balance and just perfectly focused. Wonderful wine and with a little patience another 7-8 years it will be magnificent!... more »
  • Simon Bize Savigny-les-Beaune "Aux Grands Liards" 2016 NZD $83.95 NZD $69.95
"The 2016 Savigny les Beaune les Grand Liards has a lovely, pure blackberry, boysenberry and wet loam scented bouquet that is very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with dusky black fruit, chalky tannin, quite linear and focused but you can really feel the freshness and energy on the finish of this impressive village cru. Excellent, especially for a village cru, the sole vineyard to survive and make a single vineyard bottling." 90-92 points, Neal Martin ... more »
  • Simon Bize Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Vergelesses" Blanc 2015 NZD $126.95 NZD $96.95

  • Simon Bize Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Talmettes" 2015 NZD $114.95 NZD $99.95 Out of Stock
Chisa Bize has done a magnificent job with this particular vintage and one of the outstanding 1er Cru from this Domaine Talmettes is perhaps one of the best we have tried in the last 20 odd years. Crunchy, fresh and clean with lively vibrancy, beautiful acidity, balance and equilibrium which is really what you expect from great Burgundy. At the moment it is showing little reduction, a little too much frontal fruit but this will balance out. Be patient with it and give it some time. Outstanding 1er Cru! Drink over the next 10 years.... more »
  • Simon Bize Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc 2016 NZD $67.95 NZD $59.95
"The 2016 Savigny Les Beaune Blanc has an attractive apple blossom and grass clipping scented bouquet with fine delineation. The palate offers passion fruit and hints of ginger on the entry, a fresh line of acidity and a slightly honeyed finish that lingers in the mouth.
