R.H. Coutier Brut Tradition N.V.
Sometimes described in France as “the baby Krug”, it comes from the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay where the family has been since 1619, extremely low production of around 5000 cases and also supplying grapes to the houses of Moet Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Taittinger and grown as close as you can get to organic farming. Made from a blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay, low dosage and 100% Grand Cru vineyard. Well we could write a lot about this but for lovers of Krug Champagne, you should try it and see what you think!
Marc Chauvet Brut Vintage 2002
Out of Stock
From the same house as the Non Vintage of Marc Chauvet, this is their flagship Champagne from the vintage of 2002, considering the price of a lot of non vintage commercial brands, this is a steal! Fresh, full bodied with beautiful bottle-ferment richness, concentration and depth. This is a Champagne that is still at its very peak of its life also packaged in a beautiful bottle.
Bollinger Rose N.V. Brut
A completely new Rosé from Champagne Bollinger. The creation of this non-vintage rosé has been long in the making and a dream of the House for over six years. This wine has evolved not as a curiosity, but as with all of the Bollinger cuvées, as a careful assembly of the very finest ingredients by their talented, passionate team. In the meticulous House style, Bollinger Rosé is modelled on the Special Cuvée blend, combining the fruits of previous harvests plus the addition of reserve wines from their cellars in Ay. The final component, which provides colour and delicate aromas of ripe red fruits, is a proportion of still red wine coming exclusively from Bollinger's Grand Cru Vineyards in the Cote d'Ay and Verzenay.
A. Chauvet N.V. Rosé
This majestic house situated just across Laurent Perrier, has been our exclusive import for many years, they produce a range of Champagnes from exclusively they own vineyards which is not always the case in Champagne. Their Cuvee Rose is made from Pinot Noir, light pink in colour with a bouquet of great freshness and wild strawberry. On the palate it is full flavoured yet showing lightness and delicate, wonderful refined bubbles, clean acidity and very refreshing.
A. Chauvet Brut N.V.
Most of you will know that in terms of value for money, this is as good as it gets! A Champagne of this quality doesn't always come at this price. Basically it delivers the quality of many other Champagnes at double the price, made from a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend from the Tour-sur-Marne (very close to Laurent Perrier) that has been aged on its lees, giving it a nutty, yeasty, and light citrus flavour. The delicate finish is crisp and dry with a lingering acidity. A wonderful wine that is best served well chilled. You could even add a dash of Cassis or Frambois to make a refreshing apéritif.
Laurent Perrier N.V. Brut
A majestic house founded in 1812 which has been creating elegant Champagnes for nearly 200 years. Situated in Tours-sur-Marne in the heart of Champagne, it is made mainly from Chardonnay, the wine emphasizes elegance, freshness and balance. The blend is made of wines from around 55 Crus with a 10%-15% amount of reserve wines added to the blend, then aged on its lees for around 3 years and a very light dosage is used to preserve its balance.
Bollinger Special Cuvee Champagne
There is really very little introduction needed for this classical Champagne house which has always been one of the benchmarks in Champagne. This classic champagne blend uses grapes from a given year, with the addition of reserve wines. Champagne author Tom Stevenson describes the house style as "classic, Pinot-dominated Champagnes of great potential longevity and complexity" which "tends to go toasty". The blend includes up to 10% reserve wines, which may be up to fifteen years old. This gives the special cuvee complexity and structure.
Dom Perignon 2009
This prestigious champagne needs very little introduction as its name has been synonymous with glamour, refinement and celebration over the years. Having tried one of these bottles recently, it is starting to evolve into a majestic, pure and clean wine with considerable depth and structure, superb bubbles, length and stature. Even though it's almost 10 years old, it will further develop for a number of years with careful cellaring. It is suitable with a variety of dishes and obviously on its own.
Louis Roederer Cristal 2008 (Gift Box)
Cristal, created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II in Russia is one of the most unique Champagnes in the world. It is in fact the only one with a flat bottom bottle which was requested by the late Tsar because he thought it was being short measured. This is champagne at its finest, as inspired today as it has always been, the embodiment of elegance and purity.
Cristal is made according to the strictest criteria, based on a dramatic selection process which applies to the vintage, cru, blends and finally the wines. Only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the House's 10 most celebrated crus are used in the production of this legendary cuvée.
