The brothers Gaetano and Vito Marangelli fell in love with Salento, a beautiful region at the Southern end of Apulia in Southern Italy, often referred to as the "heel" of the Italian "boot".
They had the dream to combine 3 different realities: a winery, a restaurant and an organic farm and so in 2002 Menhir was born.
Menhir is situated in Minervino di Lecce, a hidden little town with a lot of history. It hosts, in fact, intact archaeological sites and it’s famous for its scattered upright rough monoliths called menhirs, hence the name.
The Sale Bianco is a blend of two native aromatic varieties, Fiano and Malvasia that is bursting with fresh and fragrant aromas, notes of exotic fruit, mango, melon and peach and hints of white flowers.
On the palate it’s fresh and crisp but with a nice creamy texture and a subtle almond note which adds another dimension to the wine.
