A 40 year old vine Garnacha (Grenache) with power, elegance, lovely balance and freshness it will cost you $13.95 imported all the way from Spain. As a matter of curiosity we lined it up with some local reds ranging from $20 to $85, it would be a little embarrassing to mention the $70 or $85ones, so we won’t, let’s just say that at $13.95 you won’t find any better. It is a little young at present but it is showing lovely aromas of leather, black berries really juicy and succulent, good depth, good balance and it will also keep for a few years, you should try it next to other $40 wines and see what you think.
