This is another of his great offerings that even though quite different in style to the Crozes Hermitage, it delivers incomparable value for money. Made from Syrah and sometimes a little Viognier added for colour and aroma, the wine is expressive, full bodied, dense and enormously concentrated. For anyone with an appreciation of Syrah will love this the rustic but yet elegant Saint Joseph. As is always the case Alain Graillot sets the standard in this part of the Rhone his wines are structured and age worthy yet very approachable when young, it will develop for the next 5-6 years.

Just landed the new release 2008 as always the wine is made from 100% Syrah from very low yielding vines averaging 30 years old. The viticulture is quite rustic and artisan therefore allowing the wine to express its true terroir characteristics. On appearance it has a very deep almost black with hints of ruby colour with an array of dry herbs, black olive and roasted red pepper. On the palate it is balance and juicy almost chunky with mineral notes and tapenade. It will evolve over the next 4-5 years.

Our brand new addition from Coteaux du Lyonnais, a lot of you will be familiar with the white and the red but for those with a fetish for rose this is simply put outstanding. Made from Gamay Noir, lightly pink and dry with aromas of fresh and wild strawberries, very fresh, light and perfumed, just the kind of wine for a sunny Sunday lunch or picnic. We also love this rose because it is light and crisp but still has structure and minerality, in essence what a good rose should be.

As is always the case this frankly represents the best expressions of Syrah that can be found anywhere in the world. The wine is made from 100% Syrah from very low yielding vines averaging 30 years old. The viticulture is quite rustic and artisan therefore allowing the wine to express its true terroir characteristics. On appearance it has a very deep almost black with hints of ruby colour with an array of dry herbs, black olive and roasted red pepper. On the palate it is incredibly big and juicy almost chunky with notes of tarragon and tapinade. The finish is persistent and long, emphasizing cracked black pepper corns with hints of leather yet remaining clean with great purity. Drinking at its best between 2014-2020.

This is the white version of the red made from Roussane and Marsanne which in days gone by, would have been used to blend into the reds. Nowadays the quality and the exquisite flavours of these wines are sought after around the world for their uniqueness. It has great minerality with a total absence of oak, fresh and crisp with nuances of nutmeg, pine nuts and green capsicum. On its youth it can be outstandingly refreshing but also has the capability of aging for 4-5 years. It's a superb wine to accompany fish cakes, Fish casseroles etc. Will also cellar for up to 5 years.

The very special Cuvée of Graillot's Crozes Hermitage which has become one of the most sought after wines in the entire appellation. Made from 100% Syrah with a dense ruby purple colour and loaded with sweet cassis, tar and dashes of what has become his trademark, tapinade. Young at present but in about 4-5 years time it will start showing its true colours, it will become more evolved, more focused and delineated.
