Kairos Fait Main Pinot Noir 2009

Just like the rest of the Kairos range it is made from low-yielding and mature vines, natural yeasts and traditional wine making. Excellent concentration, soft and velvety tannins with perfect balance and structure, on the nose it offers an array of cherry, spring flowers and violets, you may confuse it with a young Gevrey-Chambertin but it is still very New Zealand with great up front fruit and typical varietal characteristics. What we really like about this wine is that it has complexity and staying power and it offers a harmonious, well balanced and textural Pinot Noir that is so often lacking in most NZ Pinot Noir. Excellent now but it will also cellar for 4-5 years.
