We see the return of what undoubtedly is one of the benchmark Bordeaux style wines in New Zealand. One of the key ingredients of Coleraine is perhaps its consistency from vintage to vintage and if New Zealand had a Bordeaux style classification, you would need to put Coleraine right at the top among the best. "The Coleraine '07 is a concentrated, dark crimson colour with complex characters of blackcurrant, black cherry, spiced plum, marzipan, and roses. Sustained tannins underpin a powerful palate structure with a very long, fine finish. Development Potential: 8-18 years from harvest."
