This is a great find, we tried it against Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Cornas, Gigondas etc, well the question is why should you pay those prices when this brilliant Cotes du Roussillon at half of the price is just up there. Made from a blend of Grenache and Shiraz, it is made for Winter really, lots of black pepper, Tapinade and exotic spices, excellent middle palate with the concentration and depth of a top Cotes du Rhone. Very attractive red berry and mature black fruit flavours, full body, mineral complexity with superb finish. An excellent Winter warming red that is starting to drink now but will also keep for another 3/4 years, have it with red meats, cheese and casseroles.
