The 2002 vintage in Burgundy is becoming a classic and one of the best vintages in the last 25 years. This is another of Simon Bize's top properties situated in the appellation of Aloxe Corton. The single vineyard of Les Suchot offers deep truffle flavours with good depth, structure and longevity. The 2002 vintage was a high acid year which produced vibrant yet elegant wines with great depth and character even though in the true style of Aloxe Corton. The wine is soft, velvety with an outstanding silky texture. Given the exuberant prices of some New Zealand Pinot Noirs, this is not just a pretender, but the real thing. Delivering twice the quality for a lot less money. Drink now or cellar for 2-3 years.
