Philippe Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 2003

Philippe Chavy makes a clean, crisp, completely terroir driven wine with emphasis on clarity, purity and longevility. 2003 was a rather hot vintage which produced a voluptuous, full and very approachable wines when young with perhaps a little bit less acidity than you would expect from a cooler vintage. Straw green in colour, it has enormous concentration, clean acidity and outstanding minerality. The palate is opulent, rich and very generous which leaves you with the feeling of wanting more. For lovers of the great white wines of the world, this is a must. Will cellar for another 8-9 years plus.
