Our newest import from Burgundy from one of the top Domaines. Volnay is known to produce one of the most seductive wines in the Burgundy area. The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir and was cropped at extremely low levels from one of the most odd vintages in the last 20 years. On appearance the colour is brick red and the bouquet emphasizes wild cepes, fungi and forrest undergrowth and on the palate it delivers savoury notes, good structure, vibrancy and depth with a mouth watering acidity, backbone and fruit, the wine will cellar for another 8-10 years. For those of you who wish to try the different terroir of Burgundy and the uncompromising quality, this is a must.
