Domaine Dujac Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts 2001

Jacques Seysses founded the Domaine in 1967 with the aim of producing fine, domaine bottled Burgundy. Dujac wines can now be found in top restaurants throughout the world. Domaine Dujac farms 32 acres in 11 appellations, including five grands crus. Domaine Dujac is redarded as one of the single most finest producers of Burgundy and can be compared in stature to the fine "First Growth" wines of Bordeaux. Almost adjacent to Chambolles, Vosne Romanne can be said to be the muscle power of the Cotes Du Nuits. This wine has great depth along with lean fruit which always is concentrated and on the backbone. The wines always need 7-8 years to fully develop, even though 2001 it is a little more forward than perhaps 2002. It always exhibits tremendous purity with clean well defined flavours of game and forest floor.
