Chateau Haut-Brion 2007
NZD $1349.95
"This is dense, smoky, brooding and suggestive of depth, with a little meaty vein to the fruit on the nose. Here we have 43% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Cabernet Franc, and 43% of the harvest so there should be 8900 cases produced. It is weightier than Le Clarence, a little plummy and fleshy, but still elegant. There is a lot of evident structure, with a supple composition laid over a core of firm tannins. A little length here. A good wine with potential, although it is not overtly expressed. From my 2007 Bordeaux primeur assessment. 16-17+/20 (April 2008)" -- The Wine Doctor

Chateau La Parde de Haut Bailly 2006
NZD $68.95 NZD $64.95
Chateau Haut Bailly was one of the first properties who produced a second wine. Normally wines made from younger vines go into the second label which is La Parde, the proportions of grape varieties will change depending on the vintage however it is a wine that expresses wonderful charm yet being very elegant with great finesse but yet remaining excellent, silky and well balanced Bordeaux with a significant ability to age for about 10-15 years. A classic Bordeaux without having to pay the earth for it. Drink now or over the next 4-5 years.

Chateau Clos Marsalette 2009
NZD $59.95
Visionary/proprietor Stefan von Neipperg appears to have produced his finest Clos Marsalette to date. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot (13.5% alcohol), it is a broad, savoury wine with beautiful, complex aromas of berry fruit, graphite, spice box, herbs, and cedar. Long, sexy, full-bodied, and lush, this beauty can be enjoyed over the next 8-10 years. (Tasted once.)
