Chateau de L’Engarran enjoys a tremendous reputation and history in the Coteaux du Languedoc rose is one of Chateau’s specialities. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, this Rose is made from the juice that has seeped from the grapes without any artificial pressure. Its bright red colour and cherry red currant aromas lead into a smooth, round, long and well balanced palate of strawberry and a distinctive terroir flavour of the area, crisp and dry. Undoubtedly one of the most outstanding Pinot Gris in this country. This wine is made by Jacques & Francois Lurton well known for making outstanding wines in Bordeaux and the Coteaux du Languedoc. This Pinot Gris has a floral slightly perfumed bouquet with good concentration of apple, fig characteristics it is also quite oily and rich with hints of dry herb on the palate. A typical cool climate Pinot Gris which is always very clean with great purity and freshness. Drinking extremely well now but due to its concentration, depth and perfect structure, it is also a wine that will be rewarding for the next 3-4 years.
